After Armada FC Broadcast Dominated TV Ratings, Palmer Turns His Focus to Attendance

The Jacksonville Armada FC once again dominated television ratings Wednesday night. The team faced off against Puerto Rico FC at Hodges Stadium and the match was broadcasted on WJXT in the Jacksonville market.

Wednesday’s match peaked at a 3.0 rating and averaged a 2.1 rating in Jacksonville. The match reached 21,000 households and approximately 26,000 viewers, making it the third-watched program in the local market at 7 p.m.

“With a 2.1 average rating, the Armada game broadcast outperformed the viewership of many PGA Tour, NBA, NHL and NASCAR local broadcasts,” said Palmer.

This comes after Robert Palmer, president of Robert Palmer Companies and new owner of the Jacksonville Armada FC, took immediate steps to raise the team’s profile in Northeast Florida through broadcast processes and advertising. As the Armada FC continues the successful TV ratings, Palmer scheduled a press conference to discuss plans for increasing attendance at home matches. The press conference will precede Sunday’s match at Hodges Stadium before the Armada FC faces off against the Spring Season Champions, the Miami FC.

“Our success on television came much faster than I expected, allowing me to now turn my attention to increasing our game day attendance," said Palmer.
