The Jacksonville Armada FC ended its postseason Saturday night in the NPSL Sunshine Conference Finals against Miami FC 2.

Both teams came out with determination and the former NASL opponents battled to a 3-1 end in favor of Miami, who will now move on to the NPSL South Region Semifinals.

Miami FC put the pressure on Jacksonville early and came out of the gate with an 8th minute goal. Dylan Mares crossed in the ball, which Brian Holt jumped up to punch out, but it got to the head of Kris Tyrpak to give Miami FC the early lead.

Jacksonville had a near-chance to equalize in the 25th minute. Charpie swung in the ball from the side of the field and just missed Banks, but Gebhard picked it up and sent it to Castellanos in front of the net. He fired a shot but it was blocked by Miami and kept the score at 1-0.

The Armada FC found the equalizer four minutes later. Kilduff took over possession from Miami in a giveaway and drove the ball toward the net. He took a shot from the corner off the box and netted the goal for Jacksonville.

Miami answered the visitors quickly in the 33rd minute when Tyler Polak crossed in the ball and found Darío Suárez on the volley to send it into the net.

The teams left the field for halftime with Jacksonville behind by just one goal.

The Armada FC came back after halftime ready to fight back. In the 48th minute, Melvin sent the ball to Gebhard from the midfield and Gebhard used his speed to beat four defenders. He fired a shot toward Miami goalkeeper Daniel Vega, only for it to be secured.

Miami went ahead 3-1 in the 53rd minute. Ariel Martínez ran up into the box and passed the ball back to Tyrpak to score a brace.

Despite being down two goals, the Armada FC continued to fight throughout the second half.

Banks stayed steady at the top of the box to put a shot on frame in the 65th minute, but Vega was there to stop the Armada FC from closing the gap.

Conor Doyle had a close chance in the 67th when he sent in the ball from distance and forced a save from Vega.

Banks came in with last-ditch effort to try to net just one more for the Armada FC. He stepped up for a free kick and sent the ball through the Miami defense, but Vega swooped in to knock it out.

Despite the season ending in Conference Finals for the Armada FC, the team has had a successful season. Jacksonville went 7W-2L-3D in the Sunshine Conference and claimed 2nd place. It was the first year ever Jacksonville participated in a playoff match and secured a historic 4-1 victory in the Conference Semifinals.
